Experienced Purchasing Assistant

Coffey Group undertakes a wide range of Civil Engineering work within a range of sectors, including Water and Waste Water, Earthworks, Structures, Roads, Rail, Bridges and Infrastructure works for clients in the public and private sectors throughout Ireland and the UK. We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Purchasing Assistant to work as part of our Procurement team at our Head Office in Athenry, Co. Galway.

Responsibilites

  • Sourcing materials, Quotation Enquiries and placing Purchase Orders
  • Up-dating Sub-Contract Orders
  • Creating and up-dating Vendor Cards
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with Vendors
  • Working to agreed time scales and deadlines
  • Reporting to the Purchasing Manager

Skills & Experience

  • 3 – 5 Years Procurement experience
  • Relevant qualification in Procurement is preferable
  • Experience in the Construction Industry would be an advantage
  • Strong organisation and administration skills
  • Good computer skills (MS Office/Excel)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
