  • Due to our continued success, we currently wish to employ a determined, motivated and experienced Commercial Manager to implement the group’s commercial strategy and manage the commercial department to ensure commercial success. This role is to be based in the Inverness area.

    Desirable Experience and Skills/Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the civil engineering / water sector with a civil engineering or quantity surveying honours degree from a recognised third level institution
  • They must have strong commercial management ability/awareness, client liaison skills, project management expertise, proficiency in team leadership and a talent for negotiation
  • They must also have experience in multiple forms of contract
  • The candidate will possess membership of a recognised international professional body

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Managing Director:

  • This role will involve coordinating and overseeing a range of construction projects for a wide variety of clients, all of whom will have exacting expectations and requirements. This will be done by leading and managing all commercial aspects of the projects.
  • The brief will also involve monitoring and reporting on project deliveries on behalf of Coffey Group and commercial analysis of market, sector and regional operations.
  • The person in the role will have responsibility for preparing final accounts, cash flow forecasts, monthly interim accounts and developing and monitoring cost reports.
  • The role will include the management of the commercial and contractual relationship with our clients and their consultants ensuring all contract requirements are met and client’s expectations are exceeded
  • The Commercial Manager will work closely within the overall Coffey Group team ensuring collaborative and cohesive commercial performance throughout the business
  • They will identify and implement change where required in order to continually improve commercial operations
