ROLE: Graduate Mechanical Engineer


The Graduate Engineer will work closely to support the MEICA design and project teams to enhance Coffey Water’s project delivery with emphasis on MECIA detailing and selections. They will support our engineering teams in our head office and on construction sites. They will report to their Project Manager.


  • Technical knowledge of mechanical design, construction and commissioning
  • Assist in the design and delivery projects
  • Assist the development of mechanical and hydraulic calculations
  • Assist the planning and develop MEICA drawings, including general arrangements and P&IDs using CAD packages
  • Assisting the development of Equipment schedules
  • Assisting the development of Valve and Actuator schedules
  • Assisting the development of ancillary schedules (Access covers, platforms)
  • Assisting tender bids in process optioneering, including the measurement and costing of works packages
  • Undertaking onsite commissioning activities in support of the project team
  • Assist the testing of (FAT and SAT) of MCC and control panels
  • Assist the inspection and assessment of Mechanical installations
  • Develop commissioning documents and project specific records with guidance
  • Assist the pricing of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) equipment
  • Undertake project administrative duties to meet contract obligations (daily and weekly submissions of project allocations, plant, labour and materials)
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related course
  • Strong organisational skills and report writing experience with experience
  • Ability to work efficiently, whether on their own or in a team environment
  • Full clean Irish/EU Driver’s License
  • Authorisation to work in Ireland
