We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Blarney Infrastructure Project, delivered by Coffey in partnership with Cork City Council’s Infrastructure Development Directorate. This project has improved safety, accessibility, and public amenities in the local community.
The work involved creating a shared pedestrian and cycle facility that links the R617 and N20 on-ramps towards Blarney Business Park, bringing tangible benefits to everyone who lives and works in the area.



𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
- New bus stops and shelters
- Widened Clogheenmilcon Sanctuary Walkway
- New cycle and footpaths
- Road resurfacing
- Upgraded lighting and drainage
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠:
- Safer travel for all users
- Better links to local businesses
- Improved access and inclusivity
- Enhanced public amenities and reduced flooding
- Support for the local economy
- Promotion of sustainable transport
Notably, the works were carried out alongside the 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞, originally built by Coffey in 1992. This project reflects our long-term commitment to the region’s development.
