Coffey supports Ukraine Appeal

The tragic events in Ukraine and the refugee crisis unfolding in neighbouring countries are being watched with dismay across the world. An appeal for donations has been ongoing over the last week and through until Monday 7th March. Staff donations to the appeal were matched by Coffey and this effort has raised over €3,000 for the Ukraine Refugee appeal. The money has been used to purchase fleeces, jackets and raincoats which were dropped off to the Smakoteka appeal at the Racecourse in Galway yesterday.

Sean Coffey & Gary Coffey Preparing the Delivery of clothing for the Ukraine Refugee Appeal

The staff at Coffey and Coftec along with the company’s themselves have been compelled to act by the tragic events in Ukraine and the refugee crisis unfolding in the neighbouring countries. Over the last week, staff donations were matched by Coffey and this effort has raised over €3,000 for the Ukraine Refugee appeal organised by Smakoteka in Galway. The money has been used to purchase fleeces, jackets and raincoats to help the desperate people impacted by the conflict. The boxes were dropped off at the Racecourse in Galway yesterday and will soon be on their way to help the innocent civilians caught up in the war. Big shout-out to the team at Portwest Ireland for all their assistance in expediting the clothing order made possible with this appeal.
