Coffey Ranks Among Top Employers in Ireland in Sunday Independent/Statista 2024 Best Employers in Ireland Survey

Coffey has solidified our reputation as an exceptional workplace by securing the overall 5th position, and the leading construction company, in the prestigious Sunday Independent/Statista 2024 Best Employers in Ireland survey, published on Sunday 19th May 2024. This remarkable achievement underscores our commitment to fostering an outstanding work environment that nurtures talent and drives innovation as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2024.

The Sunday Independent, in partnership with market research company Statista, one of the world’s leading statistical companies, launched a nationwide survey in January 2024 to identify the top employers in Ireland. The research asked participants to indicate the extent they would recommend their employer to friends and family members and to share their opinions on a range of issues relating to their employer, including salaries, leadership, and potential for development. The feedback from over 12,000 employees who took part in the research formed the basis for the ranking of the 1,100+ companies featured in the survey.

Coffey’s strong performance in the Best Employers survey reinforces our image as an attractive destination for top talent within the construction industry. As the sector continues to evolve, propelled by technological advancements and shifting industry dynamics, we remain steadfast in our pursuit of excellence. This latest accolade serves external validation of Coffey’s reputation as a desirable employer. The impressive ranking is a testament to our concerted efforts in creating a positive and engaging work environment that nurtures talent and drives success for all our stakeholders in the civil engineering and water infrastructure sectors.

A key pillar of Coffey’s culture is our steadfast commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the engineering and construction sectors. Our ‘Unlimited@Coffey’ initiative celebrates and supports women in these fields, serving as a driving force towards a more balanced and equitable industry. This dedicated program showcases our dedication to attracting, promoting, and supporting women and fostering equality within engineering and Coffey. Reflecting our progress, we have increased our female workforce to 15% from 13% in 2022, while the representation of women in direct engineering roles has risen to 15% from 10% over the same period.

Commenting on this achievement, Odran Madden, Managing Director of Coffey, expressed his pride: “We are incredibly proud of this recognition, which reflects our commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture, providing excellent benefits and opportunities for growth, and valuing the contributions of each and every team member.”

This accolade from the Sunday Independent/Statista survey serves as external validation of our concerted efforts in creating a positive and engaging work environment that nurtures talent and drives success. With a talented workforce propelling our growth, Coffey is well-positioned to tackle complex infrastructure challenges and deliver sustainable solutions that shape a better future for all our stakeholders.
