We’re proud to announce that Coffey has been appointed to the Northern Region of Uisce Éireann’s national framework for the delivery of constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment.
This multi-phase framework supports the development of nature-based infrastructure in line with the Integrated Constructed Wetland (ICW) concept and national environmental legislation. It reflects Uisce Éireann’s commitment to sustainable, low-impact solutions for small communities across Ireland.
Coffey’s scope of work includes:
- Site assessments and constructability reviews
- Collaboration with specialist designers
- Input into detailed design
- Construction, testing and commissioning
- Medium-term optimisation and maintenance
Constructed wetlands provide energy-efficient treatment, promote biodiversity, and ensure compliance with the Water Framework Directive and Urban Wastewater Treatment Regulations.
We look forward to working alongside Uisce Éireann, Ryan Hanley Stantec, and local authorities to deliver high-quality, environmentally responsible infrastructure across the Northern Region.
