Coffey is pleased to announce that work has begun on the Athlone Water Supply Zone – Stage 3 project. This crucial undertaking will upgrade key sections of the local water network, improving the quality and reliability of water supply for homes and businesses in the area.
This project, in partnership with Uisce Éireann, involves the replacement and upgrade of existing distribution mains at several key locations:
- Coosan Road: A new 250mm main will be installed over a 1,500-meter section to connect to the existing network.
- Cornamagh Road: Our teams will be installing a new 250mm main for 400 meters and a 200mm main for 670 meters to enhance connectivity.
- Cartontroy Road: A new 350mm main will be installed over an 85-meter section to connect to the network.
This project reinforces Coffey’s commitment to delivering essential water infrastructure and supporting the communities in which we operate. We will be working closely with Uisce Éireann and local residents to ensure the successful and timely completion of this significant project.
