Coffey has completed remedial and MEICA upgrade works at Dunleer St Brigid’s Wastewater Pumping Station as part of Uisce Éireann’s Growth and Development Programme.
These works were delivered to modernise the facility, enhance safety, and ensure the station can meet future residential and commercial growth in the area.

The upgrade included:
• New external lighting, hydraulic lift lockable covers, fall arrest system, and personal restraint anchor points to improve access and maintenance safety.
• Replacement of the valve chamber and wet well covers, including a new cover slab and provision of a davit arm.
• Construction of a new inlet manhole with penstock and sealing of ducts using a proprietary gas-tight system.
• Decommissioning of the existing overflow pipeline within the header manhole.
• Relocation and upgrade of the ESB meter to a dedicated mini pillar.
• Installation of new kiosks for the control panel and NTS telemetry outstation.
• Installation of ultrasonic level instrumentation with a backup sensor and a UPS system to support operational continuity.

This project forms part of Coffey’s ongoing collaboration with Uisce Éireann to deliver wastewater infrastructure that is resilient, compliant and ready for future growth.
