In July, Coffey was proud to support the community of Upper Arley, Worcestershire, by resurfacing the car park at Arley Memorial Hall. This initiative was our way of expressing gratitude for the community’s patience during the nearby Trimpley to Hampton Loade pipeline project, which we delivered in partnership with Severn Trent.
Over time, the car park had become worn and uneven, making this the perfect opportunity to give something back to a village that our works had directly impacted. Recognising the importance of the hall as a hub for local events and gatherings, we were eager to ensure this upgrade would offer lasting benefits for the people of Upper Arley.

Led by Martin O’Halloran, Coffey Works Manager, and Craig Lea-Hair, Coffey General Foreman, our team approached the project with careful coordination and open communication to ensure minimal disruption throughout the works. The result was a smooth, high-quality finish that enhances both the function and appearance of the community facility.
Local village chairman Stephen McLachlan personally expressed his appreciation to Craig Lea-Hair and the Coffey team, a moment captured in our featured image above. Additional photos of the work in progress highlight the dedication and attention to detail our crews brought to every phase of the resurfacing.
This project is a true reflection of our values in action: Do the Right Thing, Do it Better, and Do it Together. We’re proud to deliver more than just engineering excellence – we deliver improvements that matter to communities.
