Supporting Project Needs Through Strategic Fleet Investment

Coffey continues to invest in its fleet of plant and equipment, strengthening its ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects safely, efficiently and at scale. This latest expansion reflects a wider, ongoing investment programme designed to support project demands across the business.

Working in partnership with TBF Thompson (Garvagh) Ltd, Coffey has introduced a new range of excavators and compaction equipment, ensuring teams are equipped with the right tools to meet the varied requirements of modern infrastructure delivery.

Building Capability Across All Project Environments

The new additions include a comprehensive range of excavators, from 35 tonne machines for heavy civil works to 20 tonne and 13 tonne units for general duties. Smaller 9.5 tonne and 5.5 tonne machines have also been added, providing the flexibility needed for more confined or restricted sites.

A 15 tonne wheeled excavator further enhances Coffey’s capability, particularly for roadworks and urban environments where mobility and adaptability are critical.

Alongside this, new compaction equipment, including 1.2 metre and 0.9 metre rollers, has been introduced to support groundworks and finishing activities across a wide range of projects.

This breadth of plant ensures Coffey can respond effectively to the demands of projects across water, energy, transport and civil engineering, maintaining consistency in delivery regardless of scale or complexity.

Enabling Safe, Productive and Reliable Delivery

Having the right plant in place makes a tangible difference on site. It supports safer working practices, improves productivity and enables teams to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.

This investment is underpinned by the continued efforts of Coffey’s Plant Department, who play a critical role in ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards, reliable in operation and ready when needed. Their work helps minimise downtime and ensures that project teams can focus on delivery with confidence.

Supporting Coffey’s Growth Strategy

This fleet expansion is closely aligned with Coffey’s long term growth strategy, as the company continues to scale its operations and enhance its delivery capability across key sectors. With a clear ambition to grow significantly in the years ahead, investment in plant, people and processes remains a central priority.

At the core of this approach is Coffey’s purpose of enhancing communities through engineering excellence. By equipping its teams with modern, reliable plant, the business is reinforcing its commitment to delivering high quality infrastructure that creates lasting impact.

The investment also reflects Coffey’s Winning Ways in action. A customer centric approach ensures that projects are delivered with efficiency and reliability, while empowering people means providing teams with the tools and support they need to perform at their best.

Strengthening Partnerships

Coffey’s ongoing collaboration with TBF Thompson highlights the importance of strong, trusted partnerships in delivering operational excellence. By working closely with key suppliers, the company ensures access to high quality equipment that meets the evolving needs of its projects.
