Coffey has completed the critical upgrade works on the Ballinabrannagh – Ballybrack Wastewater Pumping Station (WWPS) Stage 3 project. This vital infrastructure project marks a significant step forward in improving the local wastewater network and supporting community development.

The Ballinabrannagh – Ballybrack WWPS upgrade involved a comprehensive programme of civil, mechanical, and electrical enhancements. These included the installation of new submersible pumps designed for greater efficiency and durability, along with a newly constructed inlet chamber to optimise flow management.
Further improvements were made to the wet well and valve chamber, where updated pipework was installed to support system reliability and reduce the risk of blockages. As part of our commitment to integrating smart technologies, we have also introduced a modern control panel, advanced instrumentation, and variable-speed drives. These features are engineered to optimise energy use, reduce operational costs, and enhance the overall performance of the pumping station.
Our scope of work extended from detailed design through to construction, testing, and commissioning. All aspects of the project were delivered to the highest standards, with safety and sustainability at the core of our operations.

This upgrade is a testament to Coffey’s ongoing commitment to strengthening essential infrastructure and delivering lasting benefits to communities across Ireland. The successful delivery of the Ballybrack WWPS Stage 3 project showcases our expertise in complex water infrastructure solutions and our commitment to safeguarding environmental and public health.
At Coffey, we continue to lead the way in delivering sustainable and resilient infrastructure that supports the needs of today and the challenges of tomorrow.
