Supporting Future Civil Engineers at University of Galway

We’re delighted to continue supporting the next generation of civil engineers at the University of Galway .

Following our recent sponsorship of class jackets, Coffey was proud to support second year Civil Engineering students by sponsoring their Safe Pass training. This is a vital step as students begin gaining on site experience, helping them build confidence in live working environments.

Safe Pass certification is an important milestone. It equips students with the knowledge and awareness needed to work safely, something we believe is fundamental to every successful career in our industry. Supporting practical, hands on learning alongside academic study is central to how we collaborate with students preparing for the future.

A special thank you to Mairéad Ludden of Safe Pass Mayo for delivering an engaging and professional training session.

At Coffey, investing in students goes beyond sponsorship. It is about enabling learning, promoting safety and helping to build strong foundations for future careers in engineering. It also reflects our values in action, doing the right thing by prioritising safety, doing it better by supporting continuous learning and doing it together through collaboration with students and partners.

The journey continues, and we are proud to play our part.

How important do you think early on site experience is in shaping future engineers?
