Marcin’s job is to keep water flowing. And that responsibility doesn’t end when a shift does

At our Milltown Water Treatment Plant, Marcin monitors process performance, maintains critical equipment, and responds in real time when conditions change.

It’s work most people never see, and would only notice if the water ever stopped.

That’s the nature of Operations & Maintenance, the responsibility for performance never really switches off.

But behind every plant, and every shift, is a person with a life outside of work.

For Marcin, that means supporting his daughter Oliwia in her gymnastics, travelling with her to competitions across Ireland and internationally.

Last year, she competed in Portugal as part of Team Ireland, following years of training and commitment. Coffey supported her journey by providing sponsorship for that trip.

That kind of commitment doesn’t fit neatly around a fixed roster. So it doesn’t have to.

At Coffey, work-life balance in O&M isn’t about reducing responsibility. It’s about giving people the flexibility to manage both, and trusting them to deliver.

Because the same people keeping critical infrastructure running are the ones showing up elsewhere too.

We’d rather support that than ask people to choose.
