Tubbercurry Wastewater Treatment Plant Completed by Coffey in June-2020 - Picket Fence Thickener produces a sludge with 3% dry solids from waste activated sludge (WAS) removed from the sequencing batch reactor (SBR) process tanks. This sludge will be transferred to Sligo Wastewater Treatment plants main ‘sludge hub’ as part of Irish Waters ‘National Wastewater Sludge Management Plan (NWSMP)’. The sludge is then treated so that it is safe for either disposal or re-use.
