We were delighted to welcome Maria O’Dwyer, UE Infrastructure Delivery Director, along with Alan Morrissey, H&S Senior Manager at Uisce Éireann, to our Castletroy site for an important conversation focused on Critical Risks.
Following a site walk, Maria and Alan brought the full team together to listen, share perspectives and reinforce what matters most when it comes to health and safety.

Their message was clear and grounded in real experience:
- Nothing is more important than working safe and going home safe
- Managing Critical Risks is a responsibility shared by everyone, every day
- Recent serious incidents across the industry are a reminder that vigilance must never slip
- Learning from adverse events only works when insights reach those on the ground
- We must set our teams up for success and, where significant changes arise, everyone has the responsibility and authority to speak up and pause work to review and agree a safe system of work
At Coffey, managing Critical Risks is a vital step in protecting our people and ensuring everyone returns home safely each day. It reflects our commitment to doing the right thing and looking out for one another across every site and project.
A sincere thank you to Maria and Alan for taking the time to engage directly with our team and reinforce this important message.
