Coffey is continuing to make progress on the πππ₯π ππ§π² ππ¨ ππ₯πππ€π₯π’π¨π§ ππ‘ππ©ππ₯ ππ¨ππ ππ¦π©π«π¨π―ππ¦ππ§π πππ‘ππ¦π, a project that will support safer, more connected travel for the local community.
πππππ’π¨π§ 1 is now substantially complete. Recent works include a new HRA asphalt ramp at the entrance to Littlebrook Estate, along with finished driveway and side road tie-ins. This builds on the earlier reopening to two-way traffic and the delivery of improved pedestrian and cycling facilities.
πππππ’π¨π§ 2 is advancing well, with the current focus on accommodation works and utility infrastructure. Key milestones include:
β Nearing completion of wall construction and stone masonry, including c.300m of stone-faced retaining and block walls.
β Installation of 200m of drainage and sewer infrastructure at depths up to 3.5m.
β Over 7km of new utility ducting installed.
β New ESB infrastructure now live, with all properties transferred to the new network and redundant poles removed.
β Installation of new public lighting columns along the route.
β Completion of new 350m watermain, with property connections now completed.
Weβre working closely with utility providers to coordinate the transition to new networks, enabling the safe removal of existing services ahead of road construction.
This project is a vital step in enhancing local infrastructure, with phased delivery continuing through to mid-2026.
